  • What Makes Soak & Social Different?

    We’re more than just tub rentals—we’re all about creating memorable experiences! From cold plunges and hot tea bars to spa robes, bath salts, soft lighting, and romantic canopies, we’ve got everything you need for the ultimate indulgence. Plus, our salt water–based solution offers a silkier, more luxurious soak than standard chlorinated tubs.

  • Where can I place a hot tub?

    We can often place tubs in unique spots like gardens or private corners. Your site needs:
    A relatively flat space at least 6 feet across for 4 person tubs and 7 feet for larger tubs. Access to water and power supply within 50 feet (with exceptions)
    30-inch clearance to move equipment. Canopies need a 10 × 10 space. Keep 3 feet from the side of a house.

  • How Do I Book?

    Submit a reservation form on the website or give us a call. Once we receive your request we’ll reach out to confirm availability, set up off time and payment.
    We’re happy to answer any questions, and here to coordinate the details for a dreamy spa experience at home.

  • What are your tubs like?

    We deliver an affordably luxury experience beginning with a high quality honeycomb wall air-filled tubs. This makes it possible for us to deliver tubs to unique locations including gardens, parks, vacation rentals—nearly anywhere with water and power access. These are not cheap inflatable pools, but quality hot tubs with sturdy walls you can sit on relax against and vigorous bubble streams.

    Unlike a traditional fixed hot tubs are easily placed and can run off of a 120v outlet.

  • How long does the tub take to heat?

    Our tubs typically take 1–2 days to fully heat and this time is built into rentals without charge. Using our special onsite speed heating methods, we may be able to get you soaking in hours. Check with us to see if your site has a suitable hot water supply or enough power and we’ll make it happen!

  • How much will it cost to fill and heat the tub in Portland?

    For a weekend rental, the estimated cost to fill and heat a 250-gallon hot tub in Portland is $2.50 for water and $4-5 for electricity, depending on weather. Using the insulated cover we provide when not in use can help reduce costs.

  • Can you help me design a unique party?

    Absolutely, we love to work with you to design the perfect hassle free experience whether that is a wellness retreat in your backyard, a bachelorette bash or a birthday hot tub party at a vacation rental. We supply high quality rentals including outdoor furniture and luxurious goods and locally sourced beverage and NW specialty products.

  • Why Salt Water?

    Our salt water based system is perfect for short-term rentals—gentle on skin and less irritating than traditionally heavily chlorinated spas. Think soothing, spa-like water for an elevated soak.
    For longer rentals we offer low chemical salt solutions to treat water and maintain a healthy balance.

  • Where do you deliver?

    We currently deliver within 10 miles of our location in central Portland. Outside of that area we can deliver up to 50 miles for an additional fee, which may be waived on rentals of two weeks or longer.

  • Do I need to do any maintenance or cleaning during the rental?

    We sanitize and deep clean tubs before and after your rental. While the tub is in your care, just give it a quick skim if you notice any leaves or debris, and keep it covered when not in use to maintain warmth and cleanliness.

  • Can I place a tub on my deck or inside?

    Generally, no. A filled tub can weigh over 2,000 pounds, and many decks aren’t built to handle that. If you have a garage or another structure with a slab floor in mind, we’ll need you to sign a waiver!
    We recommend enjoying your tub outdoors. We can provide privacy screens, canopies and walled tents if you want a more intimate experience.

  • What if I experience an issue during my rental?

    If you notice a leak please contact us immediately. For help with the spa unit or anything that doesn’t seem right, get in touch and we’ll guide you through troubleshooting or, if needed, send someone out to fix the issue as soon as possible.

  • Do you do Events?

    You bet! Soak & Social would love to bring our tubs to events around Portland and SW Washington. Contact us about collaborations.

The nitty gritty.

Important stuff so you can have a great rental and we can keep providing extraordinary soaking experiences to our community.

Health and Safety

  • Hot tubs can reach up to 104°F; cold plunges range from 40–60°F.

  • We clean and sanitize all tub rentals and use new filters on tub rentals.

  • Consult a physician before use if you have any medical conditions that could impact your ability to use hot tubs or cold plunges safely.

  • Supervise children at all times when they’re in or near the hot tub or cold plunge.

  • Using a hot tub or cold plunge involves certain risks, such the possibility of slips or falls, and take responsibility for my own safety and the safety of others.

Rental Periods

  • Weekend Rental: Two weekend nights plus at least one extra day for warming, typically Thursday drop-off and Sunday or Monday pickup.

  • Week Rental: Seven days plus an additional day for warming, unless speed heating is available.

Delivery & Setup

  • We recommend you be present for drop-off and setup to ensure proper placement and instructions.

  • If you choose not to be present, you must:

    • Provide a photo of the setup location in advance.

    • Ensure unobstructed access (e.g., unlock gates).

    • Select the "Not Present for Setup" option on the booking form.

Pickup & Returns

  • You do not need to be home for pickup.

  • All rented items, including towels, robes, coolers, and accessories, must be returned in good condition.

  • Additional fees may apply for damaged, excessively dirty or missing items.

Soak & Social – Cancellation Policy

We understand that plans change, and we’ll do our best to accommodate you. Since we reserve your tub and equipment just for you, our policy is:

  • Cancel 5+ Days in Advance: Receive a full refund of any amount paid.

  • Cancel 48+ Hours in Advance: Receive a 50% refund.

  • Rescheduling (48+ Hours’ Notice): We’ll do our best to accommodate, subject to a $40 rebooking fee.

  • Less Than 48 Hours’ Notice: No refund can be issued.

  • If we arrive on site and we cannot set up due to site constraints, insufficient power, or insufficient water we will not be able to issue a refund. Please connect with us ahead of time if you have any concerns about your site.
